PYT Mainstage Auditions 2008-2009
Students, ages 6 and up may audition for PYT Mainstage productions. Most shows are double-cast in order to afford more children performance experience but being a student does not guarantee a role, and, at times, it may be necessary to invite a non-student to audition. PYT musical productions require auditions in ACTING DANCING AND SINGING. If cast, students are required to pay a performance fee. This fee helps to cover the cost of costumes and a fraction of the additional professional instruction and experience a child will gain in the rehearsal and performance process.

Chudu the Goat-Man, Armida the blacksmith’s daughter, and Prince Christopher the violin-playing heir to the throne are shunned for being different. Pushed to the brink by pressures to conform, they head up into the mountains to jump. Once on the road, their paths not only intersect with one another and the dreaded Six-Fingered Man – they come face-to-face with themselves.
